He leans over to me and asks, “Is it possible to send a message through a telephone line by knocking on the pole.”
We smile in agreement, “of course its possible, the test is outside whether or not the signal could be received, directed, and sustained.”
Of course this guy knows telephone lines are most easily used to transfer a discourse when telephones are present. But he is a joker that always begs the possibilities, as he pleads that anything is possible. I have seen him overcome such impossibilities through the actualization of ideals that “With god all things are possible.” A grace found in his state’s motto.
Then he leans over to me and asks, “is possible to hack a computer from a distance without the use of a direct power transfer that is carried through a physical line of power?”
A pause for thought, “I know that the drop if “it” from “is it possible” results in “is possible,” a statement discerned as a question without as much inference for change, a certain verisimilitude. My friend has chosen to leave little room for doubt in this time of question.
I find my friend not begging the question, it is as if he still knows the current underpinning of technology might not be sufficient to resolve the problem, but a solution is possible in some time and place through the use of some tools.
I find in my pause the real question, “what is required to hack a central processing unit without physical lines of current, or a built in relay to accept the transfered signal that is standard to the machine?”
I ask my friend “what is hack?”
To learn a resolve of meaning that eludes to a creation of a process that is outside the standard protocol.
My friend is asking is it possible to interact with the cpu directly, therein bypassing all other components on a basic machine.
The fetch, decode, would have to be lifted from a distance. Then transformed to a new execution and write.
Memory would have to be implemented in a secondary device that contains its own processor that discovers by lifts of a read, and writes the indicated changes through a pulse of sorts, based on its own signal relay standardizations and protocols..
My thoughts determine that the optimal solution would be a wave that lifts a signal. Some sort of directed active sonar, that bypasses dampers and ideally doesn’t disrupt or distort the signal that is being read, through the use of a pressurized encapsulation that is a magnitude or so weaker than the signal that is being interpreted. Of course my friend would require the magnitude variation to be in base 7 for his own enjoyment, and guise from discovery.
Signal isolation would also have to be considered as mutual components carry similar waves, and possible disruptions of those services may result in a degradation of the primary objectives completion, to read, and then write new information.
Once “parameters of incidence” are discovered, if you know what you want to write, just execute, a sonic pulse that changes the electrical frequencies of the core, the key is again to equalize the signal to a natural array through a phase shift that is in line with the “current.” The trick is again to determine and isolate the various noise associated with components that are in close proximity, and overcome dampers of physical and electrical barriers. Write would require a stronger more directed pulse then that of the read.
Some simple quadrangulations, and there you may have it….solutions found in orthogonality games.
Its all about the find of surface wave attributes, and removing those attributes and then distribution of a new wave with similar attributes in line with the new code. Ideally the removal and distribution would be distributed together.
Inconceivable.
I dont think that word means what you think it means.
“From outer space?” he stammers.
I laugh, “micro and macronization of processes just takes testing and time.”
