The Weather Underground

Monday, November 26th, 2007

If you are one of those people that might be wondering if someone is monitoring what you do, you watch what you say on the phone. Then you need not be reading this, you need to be watching the Weather Underground. Its a true story, the one not taught in the high schools. About a group that sought to overthrow the United States government as a result of the Vietnam War. The amazing part of this is that these members made many statements but never was imprisoned. These guys broke into the FBI and stole the files showing the FBI was spying on Americans. I think that may be legal now with the Patriot Act. Mr. Red White and Blue showing up in black with yellow letters. It does create a different emotion.

Cypher

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

The First Random Wednesday movie review is Cypher.

Cypher is a person of no influence. Also a mathematical element that when added to another yields the same element. A secret method of writing. Overall making codes that equal zero.

You got this guy and he is working for this company spying on this other company, and the other company is spying on them. Then you have a Cypher, person of no influence, the pawn.

This movie was really a thriller. Excellent movie overall. Well the CG is terrible, thats computer graphics, I would like to think of the cg as the mathematical element equal to zero, have a laugh, don’t let it ruin the movie.

This movie also has Lucy Liu, so cute. Definitely check it out and leave some feedback.

Piano Playing Notes

Buddhism has idols that change and are empty of meaning,
they are available, tangible objects of ability in experience
Christmas trees, and street sweepers
playing Santa is coming to town
out of season, they share a different direction.
A continuum of experience
rather than a placement of diction, jolly joy.

Daniel Gillespie-Sells’s song the Sewn,

pause in a longing for love
looking for words from a woman
who he sewed in her will

He receives
no voice of direction
A headlock without decision

“god knows you’ve got me sewn”
“So give me the song and i’ll sing them like i mean it.”

three simple beats he can repeat,
and expand upon
na na na

hind sight
Some prefer hey nonny nonny, violent femmes

A Break

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

There was a time in high school i asked this girl out to a dance.  This other girl told me i should ask her, long story, no end.  So this girl who i was asking out never answered she just ran away, its was a  rather strange, like nothing before.  Needless to say she had a date already and didnt want to let me down.  No big deal right, so she totally avoids eye contact at all cost for the longest time.

Then one day we are sitting in English, senior comp, we have a paper due right, must be typed.  So she is telling someone how her’s is written and not typed.  Needs to be typed.  So the teacher walks in and she asks him if she can turn it in late, so the guy is like, no, its due today.

Alright, so i interject, the reason Annie’s paper isnt typed is because earlier today we got into a fight and i ripped it up and threw it in the garbage.
I know now it was wrong, i shouldnt have lied.

The teacher looks at her and is like is this true, she looks at me like are you sure this is all right, i reassure her yeah just tell him.  So she says yes.  The teacher is like ok, turn it in tomorrow.

I mean seriously from the teachers perspective, he sees her as selfless, protecting me from getting in trouble for ripping her paper up, and myself admitting fault signifies that i take responsibility for her paper not being there.  And to punish me would go against her original request, so just give the girl another day.

That’s what happens when you watch the breakfast club over a 1000 times.
but seriously , Its an imperfect world, screws fall out all the time.

The kicker, the guy that went on the date with her, reportedly said to her after picking her up, “you are so hot you are steaming up the windows.”

Children of Men

Seriously great movie,
I thought i had seen the best film of this past year, but i was wrong until i saw this one.. Plausible
I read something this past week about how 90 percent of parents become more religious after their first child is born.
So what happens if we cant have children any more, does everyone lose their faith and riot. A society impotent in its ability to produce a future is a strange concept, but seriously, think about it for a moment.

At what point does the family structure break down, or does it even get that far.  Couples trying to start families unable to get pregnant.  They feel guilty or insufficient, or worse their partner blames them for the problem.   At some point the society as a whole ends up realizing that its not an isolated problem, and regains some normalization.   However the normalization has to be far from normal.

And how about the people that love to have sex and dont want to get pregnant.  Parenting magazine, 22,000 people responded of which 2/3 say it would be bad if they accidently got pregnant right now.  And those are parents saying this, what about the average couple or should i say individual who doesnt have a child, how does that portion of society get impacted?

The world consists of many natural plans, what if one of the most integral plans disappears?

And with the rations come anti-depressants, which i except at this point in my life as a gift from god.  But seriously it can only get you so far, and many people still see them as a symbol of weakness, hence the incidence of teenage suicide while on anti-depressants.  Seriously it is “fucking depressing” to know you need something to keep you happy enough not to hang yourself.
