French Action Movie

This amuses me
“Banks dont want people to foreclose on their homes.” - me
“Well its called predatory lending, its in the name.” - somebody else
Not so funny
Alright, quick review the “predatory” in predatory lending is in respect to Rate, not repayment.
In the mortgage industry predatory lending is more substantial because the size of the loan is usually much larger, so if a person has a higher interest rate, it makes a bigger difference. A couple hundred points on a mortgage is much more substantial then 40 percent on a pay day loan. Both are predatory in their nature, the predator taking advantage of the inexperienced consumer. By making money, lots of money, in interest and fees; which of course dont get paided if the consumer defaults.
The goal of these lenders is to milk the cow as much as they can without turning the milk into blood, and if you do end up just milking the cow for blood, not milking it dead.
The beauty of prior situations of down turn in the market regardless of predatory lending or not, was the ability for consumers to file chapter 7 instead of 13 bankruptcy. In the past consumers were able to wipe out debts and keep their house, now they are able to be put on repayment plans and re-organize debt. Which of course they cant afford to pay and everyone loses.
Yun-Men
I keep reading this again and again, not sure why. Maybe it is the idea of reincarnation within eternity or the essence of individuality.
“Brothers, time waits for no man. If you shoud get fatally sick before you realize the truth, what would you do? Wouldnt you be like a crab that has fallen into boiling water, its legs flailing in confusion and pain? So dont waste your time. Life is precious, if you miss this chance, it may take a billion eons before you recieve a human body again. If even a worldly man like confucius said, “he who realizes the Tao in the morning can die content in the evening,” How much more effort should we monks put into this matter! Please do your best, and take good care of yourselves.”
I read this book i picked up monday, columbus day. Page 220, when tDr. Juvenal Urbino and his wife move back from Paris they sell their home. “the noble palace of Marquis de Casalduero, whose existence and coat of arms had never been documented, was sold to the municipal treasury for a decent price, then resold for a fortune to the central government when a Dutch researcher began excavations to prove the real grave of Christopher Columbus was located there: the fifth one so far.”
Well you, war born hero’s that tattoo your arms with never forget 9/11. How soon you forget pearl harbor with your sony walkman. Its to bad the middle east doesnt produce such things that i could boycott.
I can find solace knowing that the Chinese named japan, riben, where the sun rises. Yes, the Japanese, land of the rising sun. Named by the Chinese, where they also received much of their culture. The birth of nationalism was a fight for intellectual property rights. The Japanese culture has forgotten the dirt which with the seed was sprout.
Alright, i do recognize that fact that in the western hemisphere we exaggerate our differences while eastern countries exaggerate their commonalities.
If i wasn’t completely serious i would think that this is extremely funny.
the strangest thing happened to me today.
and no it had nothing to do with pirateology, thank goodness.
your guess is as good as mine. Scientology for pirates?
I was hanging out with a friend today at Crooker Park, we were in barnes and noble. The one table was covered completely with a single title. Love in the time of Cholera. So i say to her, have you ever read this? She says no, and tells me it was the book from serendipity. So of course, one can understand why this caused me pause.
Earlier during lunch we were talking about fly fishing, which turned into a conversation about the movie catch and release (quality film). She is telling me how she was talking to her mom, telling her mom how nothing like that ever happens to her. Her mom reminded her that the girl in the movie lost her fiance on her wedding day.
Amazing.. Longing…
even after a proposal…
If it is meant to be, so shall it be?
Divorce
of course?
This could turn into an excellent poem
tonight, reading
