Has anyone seen this show beside myself and the wop.  If you haven’t its about this over educated 24 year old female graduate of brown that works in a souvenir shop at Niagara falls.  The basis is i believe based around some sort of cross religious study,  anyways it all comes back to this Native American thing were everything has voice.   Its terrific, the little trinkets start talking to her, and telling her to do stuff.

Convinced she is losing it she ends up at her moms therapist, then she steals his bronze monkey.  Then her brother an accomplished religion or  philosophy student ends up in the psychiatrists office with concerns about his sister its terrific.

There are some entertaining themes that go through the show too.
For instance, the bar tender that recently ended up in Niagara on his honeymoon and was given a job at the bar after finding his wife with the bell boy in their honey moon suit.  Its pretty funny, his phone keeps ringing and he wont answer it.

This show is the kind of thing that would make Karl Jung smile.

Somebody please tell me you have seen at least one episode.  I might go as far as to say it my favorite show of all time.  Even better than earl or that time when i kept waking up at seven in the morning to watch episodes of Angel.
If you haven’t seen it you can get it from net flix or call me I have the complete set if you ever want watch it, i’m game.

Speaking of Jung, sometimes you have to ask yourself what would jung do and i  pulled the death card today in the self position.  Thank you GOD.  Seriously, i need confirmation of a major transformation from this stagnation i have been in for the past six months.  I finish up with this class Friday, and start up work on the seventh day of February.  Only time will tell whether i can overcome being a disaffected worker in the banking industry.

Alright so i today was a great day for tv and Stephen Colbert was on his own show and then only a half hour later was hanging out with Connan O’ Brien on Connans show…Seriously can it get any better.

Stepping back, during the Colbert report there was a preview for a new movie coming out that is called “number 23.”  This movie attempts to show a significance of the number 23.  Or even worse someone attempting to figure out an importance of the number 23 and then link it to 666.

First, what math genius let these people believe that 2/3rds equals .666, it should be .6 with a line over it, or .667.  How do people not get this remedial stuff but somehow get a movie made in hollywood.  Suspended disbelief can only get one so far.

Also, for you who that arent as familiar with the jewish tradition of numerology as I. The number 23 has no significance, it has to be broken down to 5.
5 of course is constructive freedom or free will, so of course i’m not going to say you “should or should not” see this movie but i can give you some ideas.  The numbers two and three together have no karmic debt.  2 is cooperation, and 3 is enjoyment, roughly.

This reminds me of the toast i used to make while in china,”to camaraderie without competition.”  Its good to hang out with people who rather than look to beat you, just enjoy you.  The Chinese just go with 88, their double happiness.  Material wealth: for you - material wealth: for me

Any who, about the number 23 movie, if any chicks want to go see this movie “the number 23″, count me out.
When i lived in Colorado i was watching the movie signs with my girlfriend amy, the people upstairs dropped a pot of something and she grab and pulled my hair so damn hard.  Won’t make that mistake again.

As for the comedy central movie Strangers with Candy.  I dont think i would appreciate Colbert without his political wit, I’ll probably skip it for borat or the good Sheppard.
Truth be told I’m holding out for the new Hugh Grant film.

Moving back to topics of karmic debt the number 13 does have karmic debt.  All this means if you believe in this kind of stuff is that individuality or 1 was used with enjoyment or 3, without thoughts of order or 4.  Dont get to stressed out its a simple modifier of the lesson 4.  Everything still has to be broken down to 1-9, 11 or 22 and even 11 and 22 are still broken down to 2 and 4 respectively.  13 doesnt have any significance until it is seen as the parts that made up that specific 4: 1 & 3.

If you want to know something borderline cool and you missed Connan. Stephen Colbert had a dungeons and dragons guy that was level 23.  I’m not sure if anyone understands the significance of that other than maybe Lorin or one of his buddies.

But i think thats pretty amazing.
I only really have a basic understanding those kinds of games, one day i played world of warcraft.  Seriously lost eight hours of my life, and didnt have anything to show for it, only like level two or something. I just walked and walked and walked.  I tell you what, i will never do that again.  Life is too enjoyable to spend days of it suspended in games.

I read teddy again this fall following your suggestion at the end of the summer.

Did he manifest it happening with his thoughts of the possibilities, or was it just a coincidence, or did he know exactly how it was going to happen.  I mean that would take an amazing amount of control, to know how it was all going to happen and know it was your destiny and not something to be avoided.  I know its a book but it’s still pretty intense.

I personally will revert to my favorite short of all time, this sandwich has no mayonnaise.  I was cursing my friend Nicole thinking she lost my only copy a couple years back when i lent her my folder of photocopied Salinger shorts.  Just this very moment did i realize that i gave away that photocopy version when i purchased the armchair esquire copyright 1958.  The original story appeared in the October 1945 esquire magazine.  And i do own it in print…

Thank you so much for helping me find this, seriously makes me so happy and the entire time it was sitting right there on my top shelf.  I might have cried the first time i read this story it is so tough guy, and then at the end the smallest hint of a needed romance.  A needed love becoming a little more tangible.

This article i wanted to pull out in reference to some individuals that had questions of buddhism.  Quick summation, this article came out in Feb 2006 wired magazine.  Dali Lama gave a speech at the society for neuroscience annual meeting.  In his speech he referenced studies at Harvard that showed that compassion meditation can increase the activity in the left frontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for positive emotions.

Also as i sat in the lab waiting room a week ago Friday, i came upon this article.  DNA is not destiny.  Come on people i already saw Gattica.

The new Brad Pitt film, babel, worth the 8.25 it cost me.  I make jokes because they might as well had George Clooney, not sure why they made Brad Pitt look so old, maybe he has just gotten old hanging out with Angelina.
As Timo would say, “what the f—, where is the truth.” as we searchingly look up to the heavens.

The time line of the film is well put together, foreshadowing aids in the flashing.  Best film i have ever scene that uses flashing to the extent.
Flashing is when ever you have something hot and put cold on it or vice verse.  Anti-climatic shifts in thoughts and subjects, as well as climatic shifts to something more tranquil.  It helps relax or  rejuvenate the sensory intake.  All around a well put together piece of art.
Definitely recommend.
